As Web Design Club Coordinator Ms. An created and provides web design members with handouts and instruction that covers the fundamentals of web design as well as introduces students to current web design programming languages including HTML/XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript. In the club, emphasis is place on how to create, test, and maintain interactive animated web sites. Students gain hands-on experience through exercises and real projects. They learn to code both simple and sophisticated websites and to manipulate Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and FrontPage. They can create professional web pages by integrating other programming languages. Topics have included: LIBI’s 4th Annual Web Design Contest To enhance student’s interest in learning Web Design skill, the LIBI Web Design Club sponsors a Web Design contest annually. This year is the forth Web Design contest and it will be held on October 3, 2007Serving the LIBI Community Web Design club has sponsored for LIBI Faculty two Professional Development programs, training LIBI Faculty computer skills and web design skills in August, and October in 2004. |

Before joining the LIBI Flushing Campus, Ms. An has worked as a Japanese History, Literature, and language instructor for thirteen years in Chinese Culture University. In addition to Ms. An has worked as a Study Program Director, leading International affairs in Taiwan and Japan for twelve years. During that time she arranged elite Japanese and Chinese youth groups to discover the spirit of Japanese and Chinese culture and literature. For six years in Taiwan, Ms. An worked as a supervisor of a Chinese study program to Japanese diplomats of the Japanese embassy. Juwen holds a Master’s Degree in Graduate School of Letters from Keio University, Tokyo, Japan. She received the National Excellent Teacher Award in 1993. |
