The Academic Success Center at LIBI’s Flushing Campus offers:
- Faculty-staffed tutoring sessions by appointment in Accounting, Business, Business Math, Computer Applications, English and Medical Office programs.
- “Walk-in” group tutoring with peer or faculty tutors.
- Open labs where students can do homework and research through Internet resources and the ebrary.
- Faculty recommended one-on-one tutoring.
At both locations, instructors maintain office hours and/or meet students by appointment for further assistance. Students are strongly encouraged to use faculty office hours and tutoring services as needed.
Students may use various software programs individually or work with scheduled instructors on learning excel, word, or other software programs. Students may also use the Academic Success Center to study for exams, or to work on assignments. The Academic Success Center is staffed by LIBI Flushing full-time and part-time faculty from a variety of subject areas.
The Academic Success Center is open during school operating hours and is available to all students on a first come first served basis. It is highly recommended that students who require tutors or instructor assistance contact the Academic Success Center Coordinator, Cristian Marcu.
