The Virtual Faculty Center (VFC) provides faculty support resources across a wide spectrum of professional development topics.

The VFC ensures that faculty members can recognize and quickly access some of the most popular resources available at LIBI. Resources include general readings relevant to new and experienced faculty, books on topics of special interest related to teaching strategies and instructional methods, discipline specific resources, as well as special theme sections. The VFC provides a visual listing of new acquisitions available to LIBI faculty through our libraries. The images link to Amazon.com not because you need to buy them from there but rather to allow faculty to read the summaries and reviews of the books to determine applicability of the material. Faculty wishing to reserve any of the featured materials should e-mail the library at the campus where they teach the majority of their courses.

Materials featured at VFC are updated regularly so check back soon and often! If the demand for any specific resource is particularly large, the VFC will acquire additional copies and inform the faculty waiting for the resource by e-mail.

Faculty are urged to submit suggestions for future acquisitions directly to the librarians or by contacting the Chief Academic and Student Services Officer by sending an e-mail to sjohnson@libi.edu.
