Flushing
In the event of heavy snow or other emergencies, the Flushing Branch will cancel day classes or delay start of classes only if the NYC public schools in Queens are closed or delayed by the Board of Education . Announcements to this effect are carried by most radio and television news channels in the NYC area including Channel 1 and 1010 News radio. Evening students should phone the school for situations involving the evening session between 4 and 4:30 p.m. LIBI Flushing Campus follows the City University of NY (CUNY) for evening closings or delays. If there is no answer at the Flushing campus, you can call the recorded message at 718-631-6262 for Queens Borough Community College CUNY closings.
