Jazmina Delgado

LIBI Business Management Student
Born in Ecuador

I came to the United States from Ecuador five years ago when I was seventeen. Now at twenty one, I live in the Bronx with my parents and I am a business management major at LIBI. I am happy with myself for going back to school and my parents are proud because I am doing positive things. I have many friends and study buddies at LIBI. I am working hard on my degree and I hope to be successful in the coporate world. I would like to run my own business someday. Soon, when I graduate, I hope to help others like myself. I want to give back to the community and help someone like me obtain a degree. Now I am looking forward to graduation and I am glad that I chose LIBI as my college. There are so many people here who have helped me to make my life a success.

Leonor Luna

LIBI Office Technology Student
Born in Bolivia

I came to the United States in search of a better life for me and my family. My education at LIBI is helping me learn the skills I need to get a great job. I have met many people and have new friends. My instructors are wonderful. They are really interested in my success and I feel like it matters to them that I succeed. Even the demands of raising my family, work and school seem like it is too much. The support of the LIBI community keeps me going. I have gained so much from this experience. LIBI is a great place to get your college degree!

Nesrin Demirezen

LIBI Office Tech with Medical Office Student
Born in Turkey

Before coming to LIBI, I thought a lot about my future. When I came to the U.S. in 2004, I did not speak English. It was very hard to live that way. I had trouble expressing my self. When I started to attend LIBI, my life began to change. After just two semesters of ESL course, I could speak, read, and write in English. Then I began to take courses in my major, office technology with the medical office. I would like to work in a hospital when I graduate and now that I have gained more confidence in myself, I am even thinking about continuing my education. Maybe I will get a nursing degree! Being a student at LIBI has helped me realize my dreams. I really love this school!

Lan Zhang

LIBI Business Management Student
Born in China

When I arrived in the USA, I wanted a better life for my son and me. I did not speak English and idea of going places was frightening. I could not communicate and certainly could not go to school and make the life I dreamed of. Then I found LIBI. At LIBI, there were other students like myself, who came from other countries and wanted the same chance as I did. I instantly felt comfortable here among my peers. Now, I am working on my degree and my dream will soon be a reality. LIBI made my dream possible.

Hui Zhang

LIBI Business Management Student
Born in China

I live here in Flushing and when I was considering where to go to school LIBI was my choice because it is a school with a reputation for really caring about other students. As a student, I have learned enough about small business to start my own. My schedule allows me to go to college and work on my business. I have made so many friends and have benefited from the advice of my instructors. LIBI is the best choice for the people like myself, who want to improve their lives and learn what they need to get started on a career. If you are looking for a college that really cares about you, LIBI is the place.

ZZ X OuYang

LIBI Accounting Student
Born in China

I came to the U.S. from China when I was three. I started here at LIBI about a year and a half ago. Because I would like to have a career in finance or economics I chose accounting as my major. I know I have a great career ahead of me and I know I will be successful. I have many friends here at LIBI. This is more than just a college. LIBI is a place where I feel comfortable with the instructors, the staff, and the administrators. My friends and I are always telling others to come to this school. At other schools, you would feel lost. Like you are just a face in the crowd. Here at LIBI, people know me and most of all my name.
